An iron infusion visit at IndigoVia's Jacksonville Beach clinic takes about 60 to 90 minutes. Your clinician reviews your labs, places a small IV, runs Venofer (iron sucrose) with a B12 injection while monitoring you, and sends you home with aftercare and follow-up lab guidance. Most patients feel a difference within one to two weeks.

What to expect · Jacksonville Beach clinic
About 60 to 90 minutes in a private room.
A small IV, a B12 injection, a clinician watching over you, and a clear plan for what comes next.
No payment online: you pay at your visit.
Four steps, one appointment
Send us any recent labs (ferritin, hemoglobin, iron panel). Labs from the last 30 days let us schedule your infusion sooner, and if you have none we can order them. Eat a normal meal and drink water; no fasting is needed.
Your clinician reviews your labs and symptoms, confirms you are a good candidate and sets your iron dose.
A small IV is placed and Venofer (iron sucrose) runs over roughly 60 to 90 minutes while you rest, read or work. Your B12 injection is given at the same visit.
You leave with written aftercare, a plan for any remaining sessions and guidance on when to recheck your labs.
What a normal iron infusion looks like, start to finish
Gather any recent labs (we accept outside results). Eat and drink normally; no fasting. Plan for about 90 minutes at the clinic and wear sleeves that push up easily.
A private room with a recliner. Vitals are checked before, during and after. Bring a book, laptop or headphones, and tell us right away if anything feels off.
Most people feel nothing unusual. A mild headache, fatigue or muscle aches can occur and pass within a day or two. Drive, work and exercise as normal, and call us with any concern.
Energy and concentration often improve within one to two weeks. Hemoglobin rises over several weeks and ferritin follows. Your clinician sets the pace of any further sessions, up to one or two a week, from your labs and health history, and follow-up labs confirm where you stand.
A short list
Ferritin, hemoglobin or an iron panel if you have them. Labs from the last 30 days mean we can schedule you sooner; if you have none, we can order them.
For your patient record.
Eat normally before you come; there is no fasting.
A book, laptop or headphones for the 60 to 90 minutes.
Treatment rooms run cool.
Write them down; your clinician will go through them.
Plan for about 90 minutes door to door. The infusion itself runs roughly 60 to 90 minutes, with a short check-in before and a brief observation after.
You will feel the small IV being placed, similar to a blood draw. After that most patients feel nothing more than a cool sensation in the arm.
Yes. There is no sedation with an iron infusion, and most patients drive themselves and go on with their day.
Most people have none. Some notice a metallic taste or mild flushing during the infusion, or a mild headache, fatigue or muscle aches over the next day or two. Serious reactions to Venofer (iron sucrose) are rare, and you are monitored throughout.
Many patients notice more energy within one to two weeks. Your hemoglobin rises over several weeks and your ferritin over the following months, which is why we recommend follow-up labs after your last session.
No fasting. Take your usual medications unless your clinician tells you otherwise. Let us know about any allergies or prior reactions to IV iron.
